METEORIET I was a project that explored chip-scale and wafer-scale testing of micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) using electrical signals to identify faulty sensors before assembly, aiming to reduce waste and improve production efficiency. It involved collaboration with Salland Engineering, MASER Engineering, Saxion University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Twente.
METEORIET II aimed to advance the test technology from prototype (TRL 6) to operational product (TRL 8) between January 2024 and December 2026, using a wafer-scale MEMS test method that employs only electrical stimuli to determine non-electrical properties, thereby accelerating testing, reducing costs, and enabling high-volume production. It involved Salland Engineering, Bronkhorst, and Saxion.
