Packaging · X-ray CT scanning, CT analysis · Plastic · Bottle with valve system
International manufacturers of consumer goods (anonymous)
The case study describes using X-ray CT scanning to examine assembled bottles with valve systems and identify a mispositioned valve causing leaks that cannot be detected by disassembly. Comparative CT analysis of functional and leaking specimens revealed the valve position difference, and a graphical report with a .zinspect viewer file was delivered to the client.
Aerospace · 3D printing · Polyamide, Carbon fiber · 3D-printed composite part
MPP
TetraVision performed X-ray CT scanning of a 3D-printed polyamide part reinforced with continuous carbon fiber for MPP, a digital laboratory for composites. The scan captured approximately 5,000 X-ray images, reconstructing a high-resolution CT volume that revealed fiber bundle divergence and fractures within the matrix. The data was delivered as a .vgl file for analysis in the myVGL viewer.
Manufacturing · X-ray CT scanning, Reverse Engineering, SLS 3D printing · PA12 · Plastic swimming pool component
Machinified BV
TetraVision used X-ray CT scanning and QuickSurface reverse engineering to create a validated STEP CAD model of a cracked plastic swimming pool component for Machinified BV. The model was reproduced via SLS 3D printing in PA12 within about two days.
